Christal & Will’s October Wedding at Clovelly – Featuring Reide Photography

We set up two very different but equally beautiful weddings at Clovelly this weekend past. Today we are featuring Christal & Will’s Friday wedding, which had a soft romantic feel (stay tuned for another blog post featuring the fun Saturday wedding.)

Reide Photography did a spectacular job with this wedding and we’re so excited to share their photographs with you today (thank you Elsie Reid!) – let’s get right to it…

Ainsley & Jon’s August 1st Wedding

We first met Ainsley & Jon just a few days before their wedding after communicating through email. During the last six months we’ve discussed their vision for the wedding and ironed out all the details. Admiral’s Green is always a bright and airy venue to decorate and we loved the colour scheme of navy & pink. Here are a few pictures we snapped…

Ainsley & Jon emailed us a picture of their invitation and we drew inspiration from that for all of the reception stationery, repeating the tandem bicycle throughout the event.

Many of our clients live on the mainland (some even in England!) and it’s not uncommon for us to take bookings without even meeting officially until the week of the wedding. We absolutely encourage couples near and far to reach out to us. In this day and age, so much of the planning process can be communicated easily through email with specific questions, answers and images. We would love to be of assistance, wherever you may be! We are working on a line of greeting cards to sell here in the shop, and our stationery designer was inspired to make this sweet wedding card (stay tuned for more cards, coming soon)…

Jeanna & Jon – by Sandra-Lee Photography

Today we have some gorgeous images to share from Sandra-Lee Photography. Jeanna & Jon’s wedding was last year in July at the Sheraton, and it was a true pleasure to work on the floral & décor for their big day.

Rustic Wedding at Murray’s Pond

Today we have a quick picture post to share one of the gorgeous weddings we set-up this weekend at Murray’s Pond – the atmosphere and all the natural light make this such a beautiful venue to work with.

 

I’ve been working with Sue for the last five years creating custom paper products for the weddings and events we decorate. Every table number, place card, seating chart, etc. are made in house and are created to best reflect the overall look and feel of the event. The kraft place cards and seating chart were individually hand-stamped and embossed, and the sweet table number tags were tied on to bottles of flowers.

The ‘chalkboard’ signs on the dessert table were actually printed to mimic the real hand-lettered chalkboard we created for the ceremony. Such a pretty and clean way to get the chalkboard look without the dust and mess of real chalk.

We had a busy weekend setting up and taking down weddings, which is the norm during the summer months here in Newfoundland. Monday & Tuesday are always about clean-up and preparing for the next weekend of weddings.

Just a reminder that we will be closed on Wednesday for Regatta Day (weather permitting) or on whichever day the Regatta goes ahead. Hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine, we’ve got the door open here at the Gift Shop in Churchill Square if you’d like to pop by.

A Lovely June Wedding at Clovelly

This weekend we had the pleasure of setting up a soft and pretty wedding at Clovelly ~ the light and airy atmosphere definitely makes it one of our favourite venues to decorate. As always, Petite Sweet did an amazing job with the dessert table and all of the elements of the décor came together beautifully. Here are a few pictures we snapped after setting up…

We created all of the wedding signage, seating chart and table numbers to coordinate with the rest of the decor. It’s a great idea to include a sign on or near the dessert table (we went with both!) if you prefer that guests wait until after supper to dive in.

All of Jessica’s floral designs were absolutely stunning but sadly we didn’t get a chance to photograph the bridal bouquets ~ we look forward to seeing a few photos from Nate Gates!
